HE MEANS BUSINESS
AGGRESSIVE, BUT RESPECTFUL
As founding Member of the Killingsworth Law Group Injury Attorneys Lafayette, Beau’s goals surround his main mission: correcting civil injustice wherever it may be.
Naturally, he found that fighting for those who have been injured by
negligent actors to be a great fit for furthering his mission in the legal
profession. As an experienced and skillful Louisiana Personal Injury
Attorney, Beau spends his days building air-tight cases for his clients,
giving them the absolute greatest chances of achieving high paying
results. His peers consider Beau to be an aggressive and fearless
attorney. While others may be incapable or unwilling to put the
pressure on bad actors, Beau finds it a pleasure to aggressively
advocate for his clients – mainly because he believes, wholeheartedly,
that his clients deserve such representation and deserve their day in
court so that their voices may be heard.
While aggression is useful as an attorney, empathy, compassion and
an understanding nature is required to be truly effective for those
injured by negligent actors. Beau strives everyday to truly understand
his clients. He learns as much as he can about his clients, their family
and the unique challenges they are facing because of their injury.
“Only then,” Beau says, “can you truly fight for them.”
HE HAS THE EXPERIENCE AND EXPERTISE TO DEAL WITH YOUR CASE
Beau started his career by working for a local Baton Rouge attorney
who specialized in Elder Law and Regulatory Law. He found this to be
stimulating, but lacking the litigious nature he needed to fully use all
of his skills.
Next, Beau worked as an intern at the Louisiana Court of Appeal for
the First Circuit, working under the Honorable Judge Michael
McDonald. It is there where he learned the many sides present in any
legal battle. He learned the true nature of justice and the effect that
negligence can have on a person and a family. While assisting Judge
McDonald on the many legal points of the cases before him, Beau’s
passion for the law grew into something he knew would be a part of
him forever. While working on a number of cases related to insurance
litigation, Federal Preemption of State Laws, Risk Retention Groups as
well as truly catastrophic injury cases, Beau set his sights on the areas
of personal Injury as a way to make a difference to those he felt truly
needed help.
In the later years of Law School and immediately following, Beau
Worked along side one of the premier Personal Injury Lawyers in New
Orleans, the Late A.J. Rebennack. This is where Beau gained the ability
to advocate, not only with his spoken words, but with the words he
wrote. He learned how to document evidence and present in the right
way. He learned the strength of certain pieces of evidence as it
pertained to the law and how to use the law to his client’s advantage.
After Passing the Bar, Beau Continued working with Counselor
Rebbenack until he started his own firm and began accepting clients
of his own in the areas of personal injury and insurance practice. Since
then, he hasn’t looked back. Enjoying every part of his client’s case, he
knows that he is where he needs to be and that correcting the many
civil injustices present in today’s world is his true mission.
WHY YOU SHOULD TRUST HIM
Upbringing and Values
Beau grew up in a family surrounded by the law. From an early age, he began understand the law and how it affects everyday life of the family, business and the country. His mother, Cynthia Killingsworth was a career prosecutor of 30 years before going into the private practice. She taught him, from an early age, the importance of the rule of law and how it may help you and in many cases can hurt you. His
passion grew as he learned of the various criminal cases his mother was trying on a weekly basis. Often, he would appear in court to watch his mother’s closing arguments and eventual triumph in her cases.
Beau’s parents taught him the value of keeping his word, speaking the truth and fighting for what he believes in. They never allowed him to believe he wasn’t capable of anything. This is why Beau is the way he is today – fearless against his legal opponents. He has the confidence
in knowing that his clients deserve the best representation he can give and he is disciplined enough to make sure that’s exactly what they receive.
Outreach
Beau does everything he can to educate the general public about the
various issues surrounding injury claims and how best to deal with
injuries caused by others.
In addition to posting informative videos on his facebook page and
other social media platforms, he makes time to interview and discuss
medical treatment topics with local medical professionals. His main
focus is outreach and education. Being injured is stressful and
traumatic. There aren’t enough free educational and informative tools
available to those in that situation.
Beau started the Louisiana Accident and Injury Support Group, a
group dedicated to educating the public of the various forms of
treatment for injuries as well as diagnostic help. He makes the time to
shoot informative videos with medical professionals to make sure,
even without having seen a doctor about a certain injury, the public
can have a better understanding about what is going on with their
body or mind. Follow the support group by going to the support
groups page on this website which contains a link to the social media
platforms the contain this information!
